Course Name: Digital Color Management
Course Number: PHOT 19
Course Objectives:
  • Students completing this course will know the core skills of shutter control, what the shutter speeds are i.2. 1000, 500, 250 125, 60 30, 15, 8, 4, 2, 1. and what they do i.e. control motion
  • Students completing this course ill know the core skills of f/stop control. What the f/stops are i.e. 1.4, 2, 2.8, 4, 5.6, 8, 11, 16, 22, 32, and what they to i.e. control Depth of Field and exposure.
  • Students completing Photography Courses will know the core skills of shutter control. What the shutter speeds are, i.e. 1000,500,250,125,60,30,15,8,4, 2, 1 and what they do, i.e. control exposure and motion.
  • Students completing Photography Courses will know the core skills of f/stop control. What the f/stops are, i.e. 1.4,2,2.8,4,5.6,8,11,16,22, 33 and what they do, i.e. control motion and depth of field
  • Students that complete PHOT 19 will be able to apply camera settings and white balance to reproduce accurate color
  • Students that complete PHOT 19 will be able to describe color theory.
  • Students that complete PHOT 19 will be able to apply color management and workflow methods for accurate color in a variety of output.
  • Students that complete PHOT 19 will be able to apply raw capture and software to manage color.
  • Students that complete PHOT 19 will be able to apply color response measurement and calibration devices.
  • Students that complete PHOT 19 will be able to apply color correction methods for accurate color.
  • Students that complete PHOT 19 will be able to classify color profiles and rendering intents.
  • Students that complete PHOT 19 will be able to describe color space conversion methods.
